How to use command log files in PLAXIS 3D CE?

Writer's picture: RojanRojan

The commands log file will contain all the commands that will be run after loading the model.

Command log files format are "*.p2dxlog" for PLAXIS 2D & "*.p3dlog" for PLAXIS 3D

It is very easy to execute command log files either by 1) copying and pasting or 2) save the command log file and open it in the Commands Runner.

| First Way: Copy and paste command log files

When clicking on a log file link, in most Internet browsers, you will see the content of this file as a list of commands. You can just copy the content of this log file directly from your browser and paste it in the Commands Runner (available via the Expert > Run Commands... menu item).

| Second Way: Open it in the Commands Runner

Clicking on Expert > Run Commands ... (ctrl+F9) > File> Open (load commands log file)> Run everything

Where can I find a reference for the Command Line?

In the PLAXIS 2D and 3D Input, Output and SoilTest programs, you can find the Commands Reference in the Help menu. This will open the full Commands and Objects reference for the Input program, the Output program and the SoilTest program.
